Abstrakt EN:
Complexity of relations between owners (shareholders), managers and other stakeholders is resulting from different, difficult to define, common goals of all of them. The aim of the paper is to show to what extent the Polish publicly listed companies included in WIG 20 Index of the Warsaw Stock Exchange perceive the issue of independence of members of the Boards. It is also studied what measures are taken by those companies in consequence of the thesis that selection of the Board members is an important signal to the company environment. (original abstract)
