The systems of measurement of enterprise's operation have to be effective and should answer the question if the targets and expectations of groups interested in its existence (owners, management, employees, creditors, customers, other organizations, and authorities) are fulfilled and if these measures fit the stage of its development. A comparison of targets and needs of an enterprise to A. Maslow's "pyramid" of needs concerning man and indicating a relationship of his needs, capabilities of their fulfillment and factors driving the action. By analogy, one may indicate that the system of measurement of enterprise's operation has to be adequate to the stage of its development. (original abstract)
