Abstrakt EN:

The aim of the article has been the application of the Cobb-Douglas function for the determination of the impact of fixed assets for the production volume in the selected branches of the agro-food industry in 1976 and 1984. The conducted analysis has confirmed the usefulness and possibility of the application of the Cobb-Douglas function for analytical purposes. The author has found that in all branches of agro-food industry that have been considered the impact of employment on the volume of production was significant and greater than that of fixed assets which points out that investment policy was wrong in that industry (20% of outlays were directed on machinery and appliances and 80% on construction works).
