Abstrakt EN:

The article deals with the links between agriculture and food industry in Czechoslovakia in the period between 1970 and 1980. The problem of synchronizing agricultural production and the needs of various branches of food Industry is of great Importance in that country. An analysis of the overall production of agriculture and the purchase of various crops between 1970 and 1980 has vindicated the plan assumptions of the Czechoslovak economy aimed at procuring self- sufficiency in this field, which is proved by high dynamism of overall production in 1980, to the tune of 26% as compared with the 1970 data. The purchase of agricultural produce in that period has also exhibited a considerable increase and provided a sufficient basis for many branches of the food industry. Analysis of the production of food industry and of its location in Czechoslovakia has vindicated the favourable tendencies of the last decade. In particular, the development of food processing Industry in Slovakia, which for many years had been a stuff supplier for food processing factories in Bohemia, is worth mentioning.
