Abstrakt PL:

W artykule przedstawiono sposób przeprowadzenia oraz wyniki badań wykonanych wśród studentów Akademii Ekonomicznej w Krakowie na temat sytuacji ekonomicznej ich gospodarstw domowych. W badaniach wzięło udział 50 studentów, przeprowadzono je w kwietniu i w listopadzie 1991 r. na tej samej grupie studentów.

Abstrakt EN:

The aim of the paper was to identify the condition of domestic households functioning in the new economic situation as well as to answer the question if it constitutes a stimulus or obstacle in the undergoing economic changes. It results from the carried out questionnaire that the implemented mechanisms had a negative impact on the standard of living of the people questioned. The market mechanisms did not bring an increase of the income and savings of domestic households but resulted in their decline as well as indebtedness. The standard of living and food consumption was lowered and an increasing number of households are viewing the future with apprehension and fear. (original abstract)
